Always request a detailed proposal that includes everything in writing. Do not settle for statements like, "It's included" or Yep, we'll do that". Have the contractor put it in writing. It only takes a few more minutes in the beginning and will save you hours of aggravation at the end. If it’s not in writing, there are chances of not getting it. There should be no "tricks of the trade” and “shortcuts” that will compromise the integrity of your new roof.
